Title III, Chapter 32, section 32.71, portion of Ordinance 756:

MEMBERSHIP

(A) The Commission shall consist of seven members, two of whom shall be members of the City Council. All members shall be residents of the city, and shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to the approval of the City Council.  Each member shall serve a term of four years, provided that appointments to the first Commission shall be two appointments for one, two appointments for two, two appointments for three, and one appointment for four year terms respectively.  The members shall receive compensation in the amount of $15 for attendance at the first meeting of each month and $10 for attendance at the second meeting of each month.

(B) Any vacancy in the office shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor, subject to approval of the Council, for the remainder of the term. No employee or person with any ownership interest in any cable television franchise granted pursuant to this section shall be eligible for membership on the Commission.

(C) The Commission shall select from among its number a chairman who shall preside over the meetings. The term of the chairman shall be for two years.
