Water Conservation
You can play a role in conserving water and save yourself money in the process by becoming conscious of the amount of water your household is using and by looking for ways to use less whenever you can. It is not hard to conserve water. Here are a few tips:
- Hot water heaters are located in one part of the house. Some people add an on-demand water heater underneath their sinks to conserve, or use circulation pumps in their house.
- Wash only full loads of clothes, the same with dishwashers.
- Your yard during the summer time will need approximately one inch of water per week. This can be split up into no more than two days.
- The new water meters have leak detectors in the dial. The little red triangle will move if there is a leak or water is running.
